DanielI graduated University in 2013 with a Screenwriting and Creative Writing degree, after changing degrees from Games Design originally. I chose to do creative writing as I “didn’t know what to be when I grew up” so did something I enjoyed instead. Unfortunately there’s no job as a “Creative Writer” waiting for you at the end of that degree and after a year making sandwiches in Subway I fell into Marketing. Since 2014 I have been working in marketing, across a range of industries but I’ve never really enjoyed any of my roles.

In 2016 I went back to University to study for a Masters in Publishing, hoping to use my marketing skills in an industry I was interested in (books!). Unfortunately having completed this degree I realised marketing was in fact something that I didn’t want to be doing for the rest of my life. I realised on this course though that I really enjoy design – book cover design and photo manipulation.

So now, in 2019, I will be setting off with my girlfriend to Australia to work our way across the country while we both figure out what we want to do. I’m teaching myself coding as this was one aspect of Games Design I really enjoyed and we are going to be blogging our adventures in Oz over on this blog will be a mix of travels and the books we’re reading on said travels.

Here on I will be blogging out my self-teaching of coding and anything else that takes my interest related to design, games design, photography and filmmaking etc. It will be an eclectic mix I’m sure but one you’ll hopefully enjoy reading.
